Confessions lead me to…

Dine at any fine restaurant and this is the first question…still or sparkling. Confession… I usually go with sparkling. I am a big water drinker. I love making spa water for my family on most days. I drink the most purified water that I can. Trust me, I’ve done the research and all filters are not created equal. We use the best in our home!  Another confession…I was a huge Diet Coke drinker many years ago. THEN…because I was having terrible migraines, my doctor discovered that I had aspartame poisoning. I was completely shocked. Google it. It’s bad! I went home and cleaned the drains with it.

waterdrinkingSo, I switched to sparkling water. It’s not that bad for you but, I was drinking a lot of it to replace the Diet Coke. Recently, I have noticed my belly not flat and some unexplained reason clothes not fitting right. I had a bio-feedback scan done and it was showing stress on my kidneys.

After researching causes for both, I discovered having an excess of sparkling waters can cause a few things that very were interesting. First it stresses the kidneys.  Healthy purified water flushes the kidneys of toxins and carbon dioxide actually stresses the kidneys. Naturally it’s only found in the respiratory system so it is harder to remove from the kidneys.

Second, it makes the body more acidic which can hurt weight loss efforts. Neutral pH is 7.0. Carbonated water is 5.6-6.0 which lowers the body’s pH. A healthy range is around 7.35 to 7.45.  This is important to remember when eating, drinking and taking supplements. The last thing is that it causes bloating. It’s a gas so this makes sense. And it can cause bloating for days. If thou have a special event, I’d cut all carbonation out of your diet at least until after the event.

So really the healthiest choice is properly filtered flat water. Moderation of course is the key. So a sparking water once in a while is fine. I will definitely be having is as a treat and not as a daily beverage more than once a day.

Hydrate…hydrate… hydrate…after all we approximately 60% water, approximately 92% of our brain is water, our bones are about 22% water.  CHEERS!




Why is Dreaming important?

Goal setting is extremely important whether it be health goals or business goals. The basics of goal setting is having a S.M.A.R.T. plan. Specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and have a time frame. This sounds pretty easy in theory. The truth is without knowing “why” you want to achieve your goal or what your “dream” is, the motivation wears off and the possibility of achieving your goal diminishes as well.


I have use vision boards, vision apps, vision videos and they all can work. The key for me was to keep it in front of me especially on those tough days when I felt like giving up on my goal.


Then develop your vision or dream. It’s important to create the feeling of already having it using your senses. I close my eyes and I picture my dream in color and in motion and I can hear the sounds in the picture and I can smell the scents around me and I will go as far as walking around and touching things in my vision or imagine tasting food or drinks. When I make my vision videos, I grab a favorite song that really embeds this feeling into me that will move me into action.
